According to Songfacts.com this was one of the first Pop songs to start with the chorus rather than a verse. That was producer George Martin’s idea.
When pressed by American journalists in 1966 to reveal the song’s “true” meaning, McCartney denied that “Can’t Buy Me Love” was about prostitution, stating that, although it was open to interpretation, that suggestion was going too far, saying: “The idea behind it was that all these material possessions are all very well, but they won’t buy me what I really want. ” Although he was to later comment: “It should have been ‘Can Buy Me Love’ ” when reflecting on the perks that money and fame had brought him.
Ironically, the line “I don’t care too much for money / Money can’t buy me love” expresses the opposite sentiment from their earlier cover, “Money (That’s What I Want)”.

@xCarnageV2: Everyone seems to overanalyze Beatle songs (even their early fluffy pop hits)...honestly, the last thing even I would think about while listening to this would be prostitution (and I have an incredibly dirty mind). I mean, I actually "get" why someone would think about that, but that still feels like a stretch for an interpretation, especially for this song. And I do find it funny and ironic that they sang both this and Money (That's What I Want). Lots of singers have songs that contradict themselves, especially since Money was just a cover...

God, why did people try so hard to overanalyze Beatles songs? The lyrics are incredibly obvious as to what they meant.
