Cool Cool Water is the closing sgon from Sunflower. It consists of many related bits of music mostly pieced together. There's the water chant from the SMiLE sessions, the main theme of the song from the Wild Honey sessions, and some new material in completing the song. The song is admittedly quirky but it comes out all the better because of it. I found the synth-like instrument being used to emulate dripping water to be pretty impressive, particularly considering this still was 1970. We also get the only new Brian Wilson lead vocal on the album. I have no problem with any silliness in Beach Boys so along with the musical splendour, its general idea makes this a wonderful composition. 5/5
