Crucial is a Philadelphia-based band of musicians specializing in a powerfully original style of roots, rock, reggae music. Formed in late 2003, Crucial burst onto the scene with their unique sound. The band worked diligently over the next few years, constantly playing shows and spreading their message of love and equality. Having the honor of playing with such great artists as Sizzla, The Wailers, Luciano, Israel Vibration, and many others, Crucial strives to make music that would inspire and uplift.
After the release of their album, Shadow Stampede in 2008, the band took some time to rest and reflect on the years past, and to regain strength for the years to come. Now gearing up for their triumphant return, Crucial has found new life with the addition of Evan Hilzer and Steve Goldberg, who now make up Crucial’s dynamic drum and bass team. With former bass man Alex Moschitti taking his rightful place as co-vocalist, the band has finally reached its full potential. There is no doubt that Crucial is back and better than ever.
