I'm betting they come back renamed Fluffy Pink Kittens or likewise.

Thanks for that explanation - I take back the cursing - you can't expect all artists to suffer! At least we know the world they created was one of true pain and suffering though; makes it all the more worrying to go back into the hospital.

one of the most original and challenging bands of all time with an impeccable legacy. cheers guys!
18 Oct 2013, 12:57pm
Respect for delving into silent hill lore, you guys rule. Too bad we won't hear from you anymore.
3 Oct 2013, 6:39pm
Well that just fucking sucks, but at least they had the decency to break up instead of releasing a bad album.
23 Sep 2013, 5:22pm
They did well, ending the project, such great music shouldn't be made with an obligation!
4 Sep 2013, 4:05pm
If you read the accompanying notes to "Ordained" in the "Tenements" booklet, that epiphany for the Urfe character - and how it is manifested musically in that song - naturally sealed the conclusion. We didn't want to risk diminishing the impact of that in any way and couldn't see any way forward that wouldn't cause that to happen.

Thanks for info.

"Yes we decided to fold Axis. We have done everything we wanted to and much more. the story was finished and we had started to feel it was a burden. It's not very pleasant music to make and we did not want to disrespect it, ourselves or the people who enjoy it by continuing it out of a sense of obligation and duty. It also represents a chapter of our lives that is over and done with. Speaking personally I have to immerse myself in some pretty horrible memories and states of mind to get in the zone and that's something I don't want to do any more. It's not healthy and pretending felt dishonest. I'm not the angry, seething mess I was in 2002 an have no desire to be that ever again. "

Sad knews world: The band has thrown in the towel. So much years of darkness, evil, insanity, and such disgusting beautiful has come to end. Thank you TAOP for all the nightmares, we hope you guys a dark future.
19 Jul 2013, 10:32am
New shit in the vein of deleted scenes, thanks.

+ Akira Yamaoka + waiting for the subway + being alone. It's not rare that i go out and do that on purpose.
30 Mar 2013, 7:51pm
silent hill meets black metal
14 Feb 2013, 9:25am
Not at all I think. But I do think they should carry on in the direction of Tenements and consolidate their black sound.
8 Feb 2013, 11:47am
How does this band fit in with the newer occult/experimental/blackened death releases of late, like Portal, Mitochodrion, Abyssal? I think another solid release could propel this band into the critical stratosphere that those bands bathe in these days. It would be unfair if they got overtaken and forgotten about.

Music with sex isn't a necessity. Sex is still awesome without music, but playing your favorite music while doing it is like adding whipped cream on top of a milkshake. There's nothing TO understand. It's the simple act of combining two awesome things.
24 Aug 2012, 9:23pm
It's not "some sort of magical Viagra pill" it simply adds a lot of enchantment to it. Have you seen a lot of beautiful movies without soundtrack? I personally did not. Music makes everything better.
20 Aug 2012, 10:42am
And not just Pyramidehead, Lord of Serpents and Reeds would be proud too.
20 Aug 2012, 10:41am
hey, Trauma (funny username, in my native language we call mentally disabled people like that(don't take any offence, please)), your bandcamp is full of your music, and that means that you are a creator, like everybody else who ever used their imagination to create something that would somehow reflect their inner feelings, and that means that as somebody who has experienced art of "the creation" you should fully understand and feel the beauty behind music of tAoP and why would somebody want to make love while listening to it.
20 Aug 2012, 7:46am
Also, Pyramidhead would be proud.
20 Aug 2012, 7:45am
Question: what is the ratio of pretentious people in this shoutbox versus ostentatious people?
18 Aug 2012, 5:27pm
I think Traumaf just has trouble understanding human emotion of any degree that isn't anger. Or maybe the concept of making love confuses and frightens him.
16 Aug 2012, 11:31am
Pyramidhead would be proud.
8 Aug 2012, 8:51pm
Industrial Metal that's actually Industrial. That's rare.
4 Aug 2012, 1:37am
'Deleted Scenes' scared the shit out of me...
1 Aug 2012, 12:08am
I don't think you know what pretentious means.
9 Jul 2012, 2:06am
'they should do a split with axis of light' - you should message axis of perdition and advise them ;)
7 Jul 2012, 2:52am
Tenements is such an odd piece of music and it took me quite a few listens to really appreciate it, however I am enjoying it quite a lot. I really did not like it at first though.
17 Jun 2012, 1:22pm
tenements is brilliant. the production is just very different from the other albums which i love. it reminds me (production vise) of mayhem's "ordo ad chao"
31 May 2012, 8:04pm
