Biography
Noted for being the backing band for Elvis Costello, the British rock group The Attractions (Steve Nieve, Pete Thomas, and Bruce Thomas) released one album, Mad About the Wrong Boy, in 1980. Nieve and Bruce Thomas shared vocal duties, and all members wrote tracks. Although distributed in the UK, it was not released in the US. Stylistically, the songs are a part of the power pop/new wave sound of Costello’s ’70s work with the same kind of cynical, often sarcastic lyric edge.
