The Articles were a ska-jazz band from Detroit, Michigan. They started gaining national noteriety when a radio version of their song “Starsky” ended up on Moon Ska Records “Skarmageddon 3”. Moon Ska signed them to a record deal and they released “Flip F’Real” (produced by prominent ska record producer Victor Rice). After that release they were featured on Moon Ska Records Moon Stomp Tour which showcased their latest greatest talent (They toured with Easy Big Fella of Seattle, WA and the Robustos of Atlanta, GA). Sadly, their record label Moon Ska, collapsed three years after their debut on that label. The Articles have not released an album since then.

The Detroit band was awesome back in the late 1990's. Only one full length album that I know of. Unless they completely changed personnel and style, "Olinda Road" is not by the same band.

I always thought this would be a cool name for a band. You could go by The A, which are the two articles in english.

Awesome band, them & other Detroit ska bands remind me of my first year of university. Go EMU Eagles!

It's possible that that track is by another band called The Articles; I think there's a group in the UK using the name now. Definitely not the Detroit Articles... Love, A former member of The Articles.
