The Ansion is a Lowly 28 year old from Kilmarnock, Scotland making ambient electronica supposedly in the same vein as The Album Leaf, Efterklang, Dntel etc…

Jon has been recording as The Ansion since 2006 (with extended periods of nothingness in-between).

In 2007 his debut album was released on Ohio’s Skean Dhu Recordings and within a year the album had been picked up and released by Japanese label Say Hello To Never Recordings.

The Ansion have been featured on many podcasts and compilations including the very popular Silent Ballet 7.
