    both of you are correct down there -- originally Yiddish, this song title was Germanized (?) for the Andrews Sisters recording.

    Hey, just saw the title of the song and it clearly says: Schön. Not schein. :)

    Bei mir bist du is German... but Schein could very well be Yiddish if you say so. I don't know a lot of Yiddish. It's just that if they sang 'bei mir bist du schön', it would make sense in the song...
