Disjecta Membra started in 1993 as a solo recording project of lead vocalist Michel. A live band was subsequently formed in 1995, and by 1996 the band had secured a dedicated national following within the Goth community.
Keller Kinder is a Dark Wave band from Wellington, New Zealand, comprised of Kaptain Keller (vocals), Kommander Kind (guitars, programming), Kaiser Killin (synths, guitars), and Kolonel Kain (synths & samples).
There are three bands called the Fanatics. The two-piece Fanatics, based in New Zealand, formed in late 2003 or early 2004, soon releasing their self-titled EP The Fanatics in early 2004. They play dark, twisted, acerbic electro-rock featuring angular wall-of-noise guitar and programmed beats/bass and some good ole ranting vocals too.
Formed in early 1999 from the ashes of seminal alt/goth-rock band The Altar, the group recorded & released a series of semi-anonymous demo mp3s on now defunct internet music site mp3.com during 1999. the success of these early recordings online quickly caught the attention of fledgling new Zealand indie label numb/benign records.
It was an August day in 1998 that the “project” began. Singer/Guitarist Dean Young had just walked away from his band of some 5 years in Rotorua for the bright lights, big city of Auckland with one singular vision. “I wanted to set up a small studio and create this ‘band’ the idea being, I would write and record everything myself and eventually a live band would grow out of it.” says Young.
