    And to think Duane almost didn't make the gig! He'd been in Miami recording "Layla" with Clapton. When he got close to the festival site, the traffic was gridlocked and he had to hitch a ride on a motorcycle weaving through the cars to get there just before the first set started. The set with Johnny Winter must have been unbelievable!

    I was 15 yrs old then,,,,,,God! I wish I would have been 20 yrs old!!! I would have been there!! I consider this time and day (4th JULY MAN!!)to be the peak time of true American Classic Southern Rock...Amen!!
