Biography
There are at least four artists called The Aliens:
1. A psychedelic/alternative band from Scotland
2. A psychedelic band from Virginia, United States
3. A rock band from Ghana
4. A power pop band from Australia
1. The Aliens are a psychedelic/alternative rock band which formed in Fife, Scotland in 2004. They consist of Gordon “Lone Pigeon” Anderson (vocals, guitar), John Maclean (keyboards, vocals) and Robin Jones (drums). All are former members of the group The Beta Band, though Anderson left the group early in their career. The band released their debut album, “Astronomy for Dogs” on March 19, 2007 (accompanied by the single “Setting Sun”), and a second record, “Luna” on September 29, 2008.
In spring of 2008, the band canceled all of their shows (excluding festival performances) due to the ill health of Gordon Anderson. He had become “acutely psychotic” during the recording of “Luna”, but has now fully recovered.

2. The Aliens were a psychedelic rock band based in Norfolk, Virginia and were together from 1967 through 1969. At the height of their popularity the band consisted of 3 lead singers, Bill “Byrd” Sechman, Gail “Pooneil” Holloman and Robbie House. The other members were Steve Green (rhythm guitar) John Davis (lead guitar), Bill Gaunce (bass, vocals), Nick Bonis (organ, vocals) and Conrad Dedicatoria (who later changed his name to Morgan Hampton).
