Some thoughts on this year in music.
I have to say, I was expecting some awesome pop rock albums this year: The Killers, Panic at the Disco, Fall Out Boy... But instead I got some okay and some pretty terrible albums. D: The problem might be that I haven't listened to them enough... you know the theory that the best songs never stick at first... but for instance Panic's Pretty. Odd. is so bad that I can barely listen to 30 seconds before I press the "next track" button.
However, there were some nice surprises that I wasn't expecting.
+ Kanye West - 808s & Heartbreak - When I saw Kanye singing Love Lockdown for the first time I was like lol whut? But yeah, it grew on me somehow.
+ The Cab - Whisper War - It's no rocket science but it's incredibly catchy. =D
+ Hadouken! - Music for an Accelerated Culture - I was afraid that they would become a one-hit-wonder but this album proved me wrong. Lots of great stuff on this album.
