To me 'In The Absence Of Light' is a big disappointment! Compared to the first two albums the songwriting is really mediocre and - no offense - Kumpulainen's vocals are fucking horrible! He makes it almost impossible to listen to more than two songs in a row. [2]

Sounds like every other Melodeath Band now. No thanks on the new album.

This is way better than their last two records from a purely songwriting standpoint.

I'm the opposite, I'm not a huge fan of Tuomas's vocal style, I think the new album is their best.

I'm glad that they didn't give up. Not sure if Antti Kumpulainen can replace Tuomas Tuominen but I wish him the best. The Plaguewielder is a decent track.
