I saw her the next night and I disagree. The acoustic backing guitar gives the songs better structure. She was singing off-key in spots, though.

Saw this band last night opening for the Weakerthans. In all honesty, I think she would work better as a solo act...the backing acoustic guitar was very generic and predictable. It took away from her beautiful voice and awesome slide guitar work.

god this band is terrible live. (snoozefest) i saw/heard them for the first time, opening for Camera Obscura at South Street Seaport (NY) and I wanted someone to punch me in the face so I would get knocked out for their set.
