    agree. absolutely don't know where everybody get's this meshuggah similarity from. meshuggah sticks to one chord (note) and hammers it in every single syncopation possible, at the same time sounding very sterile ... which is nice now and then, but a whole meshuggah album tends to get very monotonous to me. textures has evolved since their first album, mixing hard with soft, melodious with hardcore, plus the guy can sing - even if it does sometimes sound like townsend ;), but that's not a bad thing ... wanna hear a mushuggah rip, check out tesseract (computer metal XD )...

    Listen. Meshuggah is highly ATONAL. Their songs are mostly in 4/4 and they use polymeters to confuse you. Textures is very melodic and generally uses grooves and some polyrhythms. Plus Fredrik Thordendahl does SOLOS.
