There was a sign on an ancient veil,
A dream that never really was
She only ever seemed to hope for a world
So surreal to the touch

@ABHORRANCE666 Metallica didnt write any good songs after 1988? Although Justice was their peak, they always released great Albums imho

I love the shit out of the intro theme.

I don't think it sounds like Metallica...Metallica hasn't written a good song since 1988 (ballads included). It sounds like a Testament Ballad, as they can be heard throughout many albums of their catalog.

I have to agree as well. For some reason it reminded me of later Metallica, especially in the chorus. Can't say it took away from my enjoyment of this great song, though.

Very nice! I agree that it is very Death Magnetic - like, but really good. I surely didn't expect another Testament ballad, but I really liked it.

Dunno about anyone else, but the 'a dream that never really was' line makes me cringe.

Very classic or especially Death Magnetic-like Metallica-style song in my opinion, but brings some classic Finnish Sentenced vibes to my mind as well, although they're not thrash at all. Curious song. I think I will begin to like it much some day. :D So far it hasn't done it, possibly because of those Death Magnetic vibes I'm getting, and I don't like that album that much. Very ambitious piece from Testament nonetheless; you rarely hear them try a big song like this!
