Day4 was an off day. We slept in, ate leftovers for
breakfast, finished a movie - Silver Lining Playbook - and
generally hung out at Brian’s parents’ house. It was a much needed,
quiet morning and I always enjoy hanging with the homies.
We ate at this local Japanese restaurant, which was delicious
and walked over to a nearby Johnson City version of McKay’s to
check out books, comics, cd’s, etc. We found a few things and met a
pleasant elderly couple who tried to give us some tips on local
tourist spots and activities to do during our trip.
After lunch, we met up with our buddy Jake, from the band
Sundale, who happens to know his way around a salon and was nice
enough to agree to cut our hair. (Definitely check out those
pictures and videos). I chopped off a good amount of my hair and it
is now just past my shoulders. Steven got an awesome frohawk. So
awesome. and Brian got a cool haircut too. According to Michael,
Brian looks like the bad guys from Mighty Ducks. Much more punk
rock, of course. =) Jake did an awesome job and we definitely had
an amusing time hanging out at the salon. Michael danced a
To end our day, we went over to another local friend of
Brian’s apartment and watched They Live, an old horror film
starring Rowdy Roddy Piper as the lead role who battles “the man,”
and fights people and wears sunglassess, etc. Check it out. Steve
and I also ate candy. It was a grand off day.
