UNOIKI (it.-turk.: one – two)
A binary system? A two-step? Yin and Yang? Yes and No!
UNOIKI is an exploratory platform for electronic music, visual and related art settled between the cornerstones CLUB and ART!
UNOIKI is about exploring the spaces inbetween searching for new grounds and ways questioning and undefining rules, limits and structures in music, art, distribution, promotion and the society at all!
UNOIKI wants to step back from the fast consuming digital culture to establish lasting, sustainable and innovative music and art and give them a value.
UNOIKI is based on the idea of a collective of like-minded artists with an original and unique vision and will publish, release and sell their music, visual, audiovisual, multimedia and interdisciplinary works and projects via the own website.
UNOIKI wants to initiate projects and collaborations and wishes to build links to innovative artists, DJs, thinkers…

9 Aug 2007, 15:44 by SefotronAnyone that knows me (either through real life, this thing, or my blog) knows that I hold a colossal amount of respect and admiration for a lot of artists who publish their music (or at least began by publishing it) for free on the internet. Some of my all time favourites are primarily web artists (Fieldtriqp, Loafeye, Orange Crush, Hills West, Ten and Tracer, Track53 and Dissolved, to name but a few).
Well, recently, I came across an awesome mix by some folks I had heard of, and some I had not. It's great, and if you like your electronica the way I do, you neeeeeed to check it out. It's called One on Twoism.
Luckily, it has a page here at Last Fm, where you can download it, as well as its own website.
Go listen and revel spooky things! Go and feel lucky to share in such goodness!

24 Jun 2007, 02:29 by JyotiMishraWoohoo! Loads more people tonight and I even had some requests! It was a lovely, chilled vibe in Big Blue and everyone seemed to enjoy chatting, scoffing yummy food and hearing some new music! :-D
The Narrator (pic by Ryan Russell)
Tonight's top new song was the spiffy 'SurfJew' by Chicago-based (but not bred) band, The Narrator. It's classic American indiepop in the Yo La Tengo, Pavement-mould, all thrumming guitars, sprawling vocals and a mega-catchy singalong bit. Really, if you've ever liked any indierock ever, this song should be playing loudly near you this summer. But why take my lunatic word for it when you can have a listen for yourself by clicking here (don't worry, the BPI/RIAA won't get you, it's from their website). The album that 'SurfJew' is taken from, 'All That To The Wall' is deffo going to be one of my top albums of 2007. It's out now and you can buy it here and here! Go on! BUY IT!

Following selection for the Qwartz Label Award, our foremost intention was to create something special, in order to celebrate an acknowledgment of the utmost importance.
This is how Symbiosis (a compilation of exclusive unreleased Zymogen tracks) was conceived.
It is a reunion of the artistic voices that have collaborated with us in the past, those that are collaborating with us now, and an invitation to those that might collaborate with us in future. It is yet another example of our dedication to providing creative excellence for more than a year and a half to date, and it is also an occasion for us to show that which constitutes our aesthetic values, as well as that which represents the probable direction of our evolution. It is what a project such as Zymogen cannot, and could not, ever ignore or take for granted.
Symbiosis is all this: the past, present, and future...

01. Ten and Tracer - Whiney Beggar

"Baker's Blood" is the latest offering by Ten and Tracer, a renowned name in the American electronic music scene.
Lets just say that any attempt at describing it would not do it justice, as you will find radically different sounds blended together in an impressive manner: tribal percussion, glitch aesthetics, field recording, found sounds. These are musical concepts that are very far one from one another, but in these tracks there are eloquent links to make them work and communicate. The real beauty lies in fine details, and you should listen to each track carefully in order to explore every pattern, sample, beat, gradient, and melody, as something really special happens there.
It is creative expression its best!
