Teenbeaters started somewhere during the year 1996. Founding member Dave Milone left the band Ours to find happiness. He begged his mate Zambia Greene to help him out with his new venture. To Milone the name Teenbeaters was a reaction to his discust of commercial radio. To how it tricks many young listeners into not coming to terms with the fact that there’s loads of better music out there, you just have to look for it.

Milone and Greene worked for a while with Tony Angerson on drums and a good pal named Evan, who helped out on 2nd guitar while trying to get his own band off the ground. In time Angerson left and so did Evan but Greene became more involved and the team of Greene and Milone was strong and real.

The two knew they needed a couple more guys to round out the band but they wanted it to be the right guys. They always knew and dreamed of playing with Jimmy (Mod) Ascuitto. He’d been kicking around the scene in other bands and just simply no one touched him as far as being an all around great musician was concerned. Jimmy’s band broke up and soon after he joined Greene and Milone in Teenbeaters. Jimmy told the guys about a great drummer he played with in his last band named Kevin McAdams. He was right, Kevin is a great drummer and the lineup was complete.
