Team Arliss has been making a name for themselves over the past few years. Their gritty and head banging rhymes have made them a force on the underground market. Trav, who was once signed to Motown, was stuck for years there due to the fact that their hip-hop department didn’t know what to do with a hardcore act. Trav was a beast on the streets of Brooklyn where he honed his skills. He built his reputation dismantling so called hot rappers in battles and ciphers around the way. When he got signed to Motown he thought his struggle was over.
As most artist find out sometimes once your signed to a major your struggle only begins. The best thing to come from his Motown experience was he clicked with a dude by the name of Supa Mario aka Arliss.
Straw has been with Supa for years. He made his mark on one the hardest blocks in the Bronx, 183rd. He started out with dreams of playing ball as a child but as the streets began to embrace him he got caught up like many of the kids who grow up in the “hood”. From ball to drugs to hip-hop almost seemed like a natural progression for this Bronx street hustler. As his style of music began to flourish, “Supa” orcastrated for trav and Straw to work on a project together.
When the streets got a hold of these two distinct voices and their brass bravado it was the overwhelming responses that lead to the group Team Arliss. While the two do not apologize for who they are, the rap game will be sorry for sleeping on these two for years to come.
