Lille, France (1997 – present)

There is at least two acts called Tang:

1) Tang was formed during the Autumn of 1997 and established its first line-up during the Winter of 2000. That time marked a renewal of activity for the outfit, and an ever-growing willingness to advance with their music was born.

The group released several demos, including a 3 track CD, given as a freebie, that astounded critics all over France. “Tang has a talent to grab your guts when the first chords are strummed, and the overall atmosphere is really emotional.”

The music of the band is continually refined and finds its identity with a lot of practice, and the discovery of new influences. The result blends into a mixture of the actual scene and the original scene. After scouring a great deal of venues in Northern France and Belgium, and playing with many bands, they choose to record their first album.

To do so, they opt for an offensive strike, choosing as a studio the LB LAB of S. Buriez (Loudblast) on the outskirts of Lille. Several labels show interest for co-production, but emolution will finally release it by itself, and distribution will be handled by Overcome.

Soberly called “This Quietness Booms About on the Walls Like Birds in Panic”, the album proposes 8 flabbergasting tracks, reflecting the potential of the band to transmit its emotions, and a potency for more.

The record has been well received by the press. Reviews and interviews accumulate while the group continues to traverse France with more and more amazing live performances.
