Uh-Oh, Love Comes to Town (2:51)
From 77 and 8 other releases
“Uh-Oh, Love Comes to Town” is the name of a song released by Talking Heads, from their 1977 debut album Talking Heads: 77. With a funky bassline and the use of steel drums, this song has more of a pop groove to it and noticeably differs from the rest of the songs on the album. This would be a preview to the exploration of funk and world music that Talking Heads would play in 1978’s More Songs About Buildings and Food and throughout the remainder of their career. The song was featured on 2004’s The Best of Talking Heads compilation album.
Some pressings appear to have “I Wish You Wouldn’t Say That” instead of “First Week/Last Week…Carefree” as the B-side.
