Excellent performances, way more fun than Stop Making Sense. Great energy!

unfairly overshadowed by the later live album---good snapshot of the early talking heads---got on vinyl(still have it)a long time ago and listened to it a ton

some tracks shimmer, some tracks fall flat. electricity (drugs) from the first disc is immaculate, but all the nervous energy in animals is gone.

The version of Animals on this album is amazing. The refrain at the end destroys any other versions of the song that I have been able to find. Makes me sad that I won't ever get to see them perform live.

To be honest, a lot of these just sound like the studio versions (but with usually weaker vocals and in the case of the Fear of Music and RiL songs, lacking all the production flourishes and tricks). It's a fine fine recording and it's amazing how they managed to get such a clear live sound, but aside from a few songs, none of Talking Heads' live stuff (like pretty much any other band in existence) is preferable to the studio versions

This album is ridiculously glee inducing with all the little bits of guitar interplay and hilarious drumming. So great, and I can hardly imagine a better live album.

This album puts 'Stop MakingSense' to shame, imo.
