I'm a big Talking Heads fan, but doesn't like this one (and True Stories) at all. Way too latino-ish for my taste. Blind is the only track that isn't a total bore.

Johnny Marr was a nice addition to the band on a few tracks

I was always a Talking Heads fanatic and this album was such an exciting event. It was kind of a weird era between Stop Making Sense and this one. But this album is great, and I've always thought of it as their "swan song" as a band. It's like the Talking Heads' Abbey Road. Haven't played it in awhile and it always sounds fresh. The horns, the beats, Byrne's lyrical content. Also I was just remembering how, when it came out, stuff on CD was starting to come out in DDD format (IE digital vs analog recording etc) and on the spine of the CD box it said "Digital. Totally." That, and the photo of the band with the enormous pickle, were awesome touches!

(Nothing But) Flowers, The Democratic Circus and especially Cool Water are some of my favorite Talking Heads songs.

Been listening to the Talking Heads discography... this is by far my favourite album. I love how different his voice is. (And true say about the influence on Radiohead with Cool Water)

I love Side 2! If only the album kicked off with 'Cool Water' (much more of an influence on Radiohead than the song Radio Head ever was!), this album would be known as Talking Heads' unnerving, pessimistic swan song.

Where's the love for Naked, man? It's one of their best... until Side 2. :/
