whatever the exact category for that one (post rock pioneers certainly more in the last 2 Talk Talk albums, strictly talking, certainly, yes..) : it is a fabulous album !! totally unique sound/atmosphere & voice , and not yet with the last 2 albums ascetical austerity (and gloomier & gloomier..); just beautiful, absolutely honest and not pretentious work of (pop)art (not like some 'post rock' guys later..hm..alas^); Certainly one of the Talk Talk album i prefer always; not yet totally beautifully 'sinister' (like the last 2), yet far from light and superficial.. as for the comparison with Sylvian, i'm happy to see i'm not the only one to have noticed the extreme similitude between the two bands..or solos works later, yes^!): same kind of universe indeed.. the post glam drama à la Sylvian totally absent here though.. but yes, similarities!!.. a gem. always happy to listen to it again when possible, Talk Talk. :)
