Stockholm, Sweden (2006 – present)

Taken by Trees is the latest project for artist Victoria Bergsman from Stockholm, Sweden. Bergsman was singer-songwriter for The Concretes for eleven years before deciding to leave the band in July 2006.

The debut album Open Field was recorded in six days; it’s packed with stark, delicate pop melodies. Victoria has the sort of voice that stops you in your tracks and demands you listen. The album features Peter Bjorn and John’s John Eriksson, Electrelane’s Verity Sussman and Andreas Söderström (of Ass and Tape) on guitar.

Victoria appeared in the infectious single Young Folks and released 7” tour single Sweet Child O’ Mine (Sweet Child O’ Mine, Above You), a Guns N’ Roses cover.
