Her character in "Across the Universe" was really, really contrived, IMO. Especially the whole lesbian thing. I wouldn't say she was totally useless, but certainly not pivotal, either. Now, I do like her version of "I Want To Hold Your Hand", but more so because of the instrumentals, not necessarily her voice.

Your least favorite? Srsly? This version brings a whole new level to the song. The original is peppy, happy, and just such an anthem in it's puppy love. This version is all about the intense longing and sadness that comes from it. The lyrics are so great and at the same time so vague that they can be interpreted in any emotion dependent on the music composition.
