Synoiz is a one-man project based in the North East of England. Originally setting out to create his own brand of angst-ridden synthpop, Synoiz found himself much more involved in darkwave ambient soundtrack work. His first actual release, the “Chernobyl OST”, consisted of 6-tracks for an art installation while a recent side project, the “Pebbledash OST”, saw him in a totally different style, resorting to vintage electronica for an upcoming computer game aimed at young adults.

Preceded by his debut single “Long Lost…” in June, on Halloween 2009, Synoiz released his debut album “Ambients” for digital download and a limited physical run. Combining stirring organic pieces with nightmarish horror soundscapes akin to those of Silent Hill, Ambients is the perfect soundtrack as the nights get darker and the winds colder towards the end of the year.

Influences
Synoiz has been heavily inspired by many other artists from all different styles of music, from game soundtrack composers such as Matt Uelmen who composed the music for a host of Blizzard games such as Diablo, Warcraft and Starcraft. Akira Yamaoka who is most famous for his work on the Silent Hill franchise. Steve Henifin of Silicon Knights who is responsible for the amazing soundtracks on games such as Blood Omen : Legacy of Kain and Eternal Darkness : Sanity’s Requiem. Masami Ueda for his amazing work on the Resident Evil 2 and 3 games. There are many more people that could be mentioned including the composers behind the Forbidden Siren games and those throughout the Metroid franchise but it would take forever.
