Syme are a five piece band from Bergen, Norway who play postrock at the meeting point between the pure melodious and experimental noise- and rhythm-based music. They’ve released one album - Swing Swing and two EPs - Planetarium and most recently Modern Love, featuring a reworking of David Bowie’s 1983 hit of the same name. Swing Swing and Modern Love are both available through Karisma Records.
The band have played over 100 shows in Norway and are currently being courted by international publishing and recording companies from the US, Germany and France. 2007 promises to be a big year for Syme who have every possibility of following in the footsteps of 120Days, The Low Frequency in Stereo and Serena Maneesh in appealing to a wider international audience,
