Sycross is an instrumental band. Its composer is Ray Li, a high school student and completely self-taught musician. Sycross independently released its first album, Final Horizon, on August 17th, 2009. The album features 12 instrumental songs for a total of 43 minutes of music.

The style of Sycross’s music can best be described as cinematic. Sycross attempts to create distinct sounds by combining intense orchestral instrumentation with more modern structure.

Ray is also the creator of a vocal improvisation group called Exploosh:

you got one heck of a lot more than just potential, kid- you have the extremely rare gift of musical expression that explodes in the minds and hearts of the listener.......

I like what I've heard, it's quite impressive being that you're in high school and are producing this ( i assume ) by yourself. In the future, I would add some more texture, thicker bass, and build vertically adding some layers, things like that. But you definitely got the horizontal/melodic part down.

Pretty good, a lot of the songs don't quite "click" for me, but I think you should keep at it, there is potential there. Good luck.

A bit unoriginal at times, but I think you have some good ideas. For what it's worth, I wish you good luck with creating more music, and perhaps try to truly develop a sound of your own. Take care.

Well, I don't like spamming my shoutbox, but.. not so bad, dude ;D. But Forsaken is really similar to Requiem for a dream theme.

I have to admit that I definitely see a lot of potential here. Still a bit "raw" and "loopy" for my interest. But when I close my eyes and listen to your music, my inner fantasy world starts to take shape (unfocused and without details, but I hope that this world will blossom with your experience and time) :-)
