Swimmingpool The Band

Based out of Philadelphia, PA (Originally from Madison, CT), Swimmingpool The Band has been prolifically releasing music since 2006. The only consistent member of the band is Seamus Stimpson. Diana P. became an official member in 2009, adding her vocals and cello talents to the band. In January 2008 (starting with Days Run Away I:), Swimmingpool The Band started to move away from lyric based (more conventionally written) songs to ambient/drone pieces. Since then, the band has recorded over 90 full length albums, all released online for free. Swimmingpool The Band also feels incredibly uncomfortable writing in third person, but realized that that’s kinda what bands do.

Having been addicted to your music for some time now, I must ask if you ever perform live? I'm a few thousand miles in the wrong direction for this to affect me but i'm curious.

Hey Seamus, been catching up with a LOT of your stuff recently, and just loving it all the more. Your music really helps lift my spirits when I'm down, and has pulled me through some pretty bad times over the last year. One thing eludes me though. Does 'The New World' on Shaking Branches have any written lyrics? I frequently try and decipher them, and can't. If there are lyrics, I would love to know what they are. Thank you so SO much for your wonderful music, and for continuing to make it. It makes my days so much happier.

Your generosity and creativity are an encouragement for me! Thanks for making such amazing work available. I started out looking for a paypal outlet to pass along "evidence of the love" (and got prompty side tracked by your links/music)... do you have such a mechanism?
