Swimmer One are from Scotland, and make experimental pop music. Their music has been compared to everyone from the Pet Shop Boys and The Associates to The Blue Nile and The Who. They have made two albums to date, The Regional Variations (2007) and Dead Orchestras (2010). In 2012 Swimmer One collaborated with Cora Bissett and playwright David Greig on Whatever Gets You Through The Night, a multi-strand project incorporating an album, a theatre show, a film and a book, each featuring contributions from over 30 Scottish musicians and writers.
Hamish Brown and Andrew Eaton formed Swimmer One in 2002, with Laura Cameron Lewis joining the line-up in 2007. Another key contributor is Daniel Warren, who has made several short films with the band and designs all their artwork.
Hamish Brown also writes music for dance and film and remixes under the name Hunterheck.
Andrew Eaton-Lewis also releases music under the name Seafieldroad, and makes theatre shows with Laura.
Laura Eaton-Lewis is an actor, theatre director, musician, and co-director of the company Highway Diner.
