Sweetbox is a Los Angeles based pop music project formed in Germany in 1995 by executive producer Heiko Schmidt and music producer Roberto “Geo” Rosan. Throughout the years Sweetbox has had several leading women including Kimberly Kearney, Dacia Bridges, Tina Harris, Jade Villalon, Jamie Pineda and most recently and currently, Miho Fukuhara and LogiQ Pryce.

Although the project released four singles in the mid ’90s, with initial singers Kimberley Kearney and Dacia Bridges, worldwide success came with third vocalist, Tina Harris. Everything’s Gonna Be Alright was released in 1997, which topped charts around the world and started a musical theme, sampling classical music, which the project would later become known for.

Tina Harris left after two years, with Jade Villalon replacing her as the fourth vocalist with five original albums, all reaching Gold or Platinum in Korea. Villalon, along with “Geo” left the project after seven years to go on and do other projects.

Vocalist Jamie Pineda took the role as new vocalist shortly after in late 2007 and then releasing her first studio album The Next Generation in 2009, which was produced by Derek Bramble. Pineda released one more album, Diamond Veil in 2011 and it was released in Japan and Korea, as the 8th studio album from Sweetbox.

Looks like everyone's finally stopped caring. Even lurking around the Sweetbox thread on that Jade fansite, it seems like everyone's taken their ball and gone home.

I like LogiQ a lot, but Sweetbox fans are not going to support the group if he is the face. That is the painful truth, but I will definitely support him and Asher leading the group together. Sweetbox, for the most part, has been this very girly, saccharine musical project and I think LogiQ's image turns those fans away for obvious reasons.

So Heiko Schmidt wrote me back and was VERY cordial (as was I in my letter to him)... He explained the reason LogiQ was so featured to the English listeners (via YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc) was due to Miho's lack of English speaking knowledge (understandable) and Miho has promoted the album in Japanese. He stated Miho was DEFINITELY a guest for the #Z21 album due to her label. He also mentioned that as of this moment he doesn't know what the next album will look like but he is paying attention to what the fans are saying this time around. So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE write him and tell him how much you REALLY like Asher! :)

I've already decided personally -- if the first single launches and it features more LogiQ then Asher or Miho, I won't purchase another album. Tina, Jade and Jamie's days are over. The only way I see Sweetbox going forward is if they invest in Miho or Asher more then LogiQ.

Guys, write Sweetbox @ heikoschmidt@mac.com and LET HIM KNOW we're not going to keep purchasing Sweetbox with LogiQ leading. Make it clear that we LOVE Miho and Asher and we even like LogiQ, but he should not be leading this group.

All 4 Love's PV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJSxPz6-d5A It seems that Sweetbox is all about LogiQ now. I mean, it seems like he's the frontman and he just collaborate with the girls. Please, more Miho and Asher and less LogiQ.

So what's even going on with them now? They constantly post lyric "videos" up on their YouTube channel, but that's it. What's even the future of Sweetbox at this point?

I want him to go tbh. Just Miho or just Asher or even both just no more LogiQ.

I can't see how Sweetbox with that name and that musical history could function with just LogiQ either. He needs a female vocalist to compliment him. I want him to stick around, but it can't be him alone. It wouldn't work. I like him, but there is no way in hell any Sweetbox fan, old or new, will buy an album that features only LogiQ Pyrce.

I guess calling him a tool was a bit much but it was rude, in any aspect. It's obvious to Sweetbox fans there are two versions... Also, I'm starting to wonder if Miho WILL do another album.. If she doesn't I'm hoping Asher will do more because I don't know if I'd like Sweetbox as much without a main female vocalist.. Hmm

I would imagine that was for PR reasons. Guess they don't want people to know that the song is recycled from the old version, or maybe someone doesn't want Miho's name attached to the group for anymore because she was never really part of it to begin with? I dunno. I could be wrong on both accounts, but the whole thing makes me indifferent.

I am "irked" by LogiQ at the moment. He posted something on Instagram about the "Sweetbox" music video for "Alone" - which by the way, was a clip of the music video he and J. Nation did - which at the time, was NOT Sweetbox and I posted and said, "I love the song and video but the version that Miho did is my favorite!" and it was DELETED.......So he's kind of a tool. I won't be purchasing the next album - the only way I will be is if Asher Otto is featured a lot - which I have a feeling she will be because York (producer of a lot of the #Z21 album) posted a photo of them in the studio.

I agree. I've always liked Tina Harris miles more than Jade.

Sometimes I wish Tina Harris had stayed for more Sweetbox albums. The first album is just perfection.

@Guicf I LOVE Asher! She's so sweet and responds on Twitter/Instagram. I would LOVE to see her as Sweetbox's front woman withOUT LogiQ on the side. I like LogiQ but this change was a bit drastic. I like #Zeitgeist21 the album but if Miho isn't featured more in the next one (or Asher) I might be done with them... just my opinion

They keep releasing these videos, but it seems the Sweetbox fanbase has reached a deadening halt.

And about EGBA's new version: I really liked but I wished at least hear Miho. :( It's the third best version IMO, just behind Tina's and Jade's version (that one on Classified, not the Reborn one).
