Had this on cassette, having found it whilst digging through the bins in a used record shop. I'd read about the Swans, heard the accolades, but had never experienced the music. Omniscience was the entry point for me, and "The Other Side of the World" is still my favorite piece by them...

Second to "Swans Are Dead" as far as their live albums, I think. Terrific document.

This live album definitely deserves much more attention from Swans fans. It sounds and feels like it's been recorded in studio, but with some production tricks added like spice to make it sound haunting and mysterious. I'd had this kind of concept before I got to know I'm wrong while reading the tape booklet. There's some kind of magic present in the air making it difficult to breathe while listening to 'Omniscience'. This release from Swans is one little hidden gem to discover.
