I agree with ballparkmanatee, Cop and some of the other mid 80's Swans are the more terrifying Swans album, especially Young God.

I kind of agree. Sure its extremely jarring at first, but after you listen to it for a while the songs seem a lot less scary and chaotic. When I listen to this album nowadays it just sounds like great and powerful rock music instead of something evil, brutal, and extreme. Personally, I think Body to Body Job to Job and Cop are a lot more effective if you're looking for something that sounds legitimately terrifying and "brutal".
