• Some thoughts on the music I listened to lately

Last week I reviewed quite some new cd's for the magazine I writer for. Among the best of them are Ben Harper - Both Sides Of The Gun, Suzzy & Maggie Roche - Why the long face and Donald Fagen - Morph The Cat. These are very much recommended.
A record that made me quite happy was Jimmy Buffett - Live At Fenway Park. It's not very special, but it has a happy feel and it is so very much American and I like that a lot. It's fun to hear the audience sing Take Me Out To The Ball Game. ;-)

Although the weather outside is still quite cold, my body keeps on telling me it is spring and wants me to listen to uplifting music. That's why I rediscovered Blur - The Great Escape and Elvis Costello - The Very Best Of. Records that make me want to dance around in my room. Other spring favorites are Goo Goo Dolls - Dizzy Up The Girl, Kim Richey - Rise and, my absolute favorite, Fastball - All The Pain Money Can Buy. Oh, and I also discovered this fun song by Josh Kelley from the Herbie Fully Loaded soundtrack called You Are The Woman!
