Biography

Personnel:
Kevin Tomkins: Vocals, Electronics and additional instruments.
Paul Taylor: Guitar, Electronics and additional instruments.

Sutcliffe Jügend formed around 1980 and were one of the pioneers of music. They released a prodigious amount of recorded material culminating in the 1982 release of the epic 10-hour box set, ‘We Spit On Their Graves’, which was subsequently bootlegged into LP format. The group disbanded when Kevin Tomkins joined Whitehouse, touring with them extensively and performing on the albums ‘Right To Kill’ and ‘Great White Death’. He remained with them until 1985, when he left London to get married and raise a family - much to the surprise of many.

In 1993 Kevin and Paul formed the group Bodychoke, under which four albums were released. In 1995 they decided to restart Sutcliffe Jügend. A series of acclaimed releases followed, resulting in their first ever live action in 2005. The group continues to record and perform.

more people need to listen to Threnody for the Victims of Ignorance. it's easily their most creative and well crafted release.

I can't get in touch with unlabel.net/betweensilences. I've sent already several messages - no answer. does anybody know any other contacts of the group? I've purchased their Sutcliffe Jugend - 'Archive 4' 4 CD album box set. Half a year ago but it never comes and they don't answer any of my letters. Does unmail@unlabel.net work at all? Would be thankful to anybody who can help me out. Is it a common practice of the label not to work out orders and ignore customers?

I think With Extreme Pleasure is pretty amazing, it just requires a little more attention. [2] I think Blue Rabbit is great too. "Lucky" is my favorite from WEP.

I think With Extreme Pleasure is pretty amazing, it just requires a little more attention. It's sort of a cross between This is the Truth and Threnody for the Victims of Ignorance.

Blue Rabbit is alright, WEP does not compare well to their older material. Death Mask and When Pornography Is No Longer Enough remain unbeaten.

"I always found that line to be more ridiculous then anything else. I could take the Victim as Beauty more seriously, but SHOW ME THOSE FUCKING TITTIES always made me crack a grin." So I'm no the only one. I had a good 5 minutes laugh at that when I first heard it.

Blue Rabbit is a gem. With Extreme Prejudice has its moments, but as a whole, I think Blue Rabbit is much better. Very different albums, though, obviously, so it's hard to compare.
