Rudy's on a train to nowhere, halfway down the line
He don't wanna get there, but he needs time
He ain't sophisticated, nor well-educated
After all the hours he wasted, still he needs time

One of my favorites off the Blockbuster album-Crime of The Century. This was the best Album by a new group I'd heard in quite a long time in the fall of'75.

Don't you agree that Supertramp should be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?

Excellent the lead-in. Great group! Great songs!!! I concur with Dave Baldwin's assessment.

These guys can do no wrong in my book... like Steely Dan in that regard AKC. "After all the hours he wasted, still he needs time..." Man do we all need some time....goes so fast it is scary...but leave it to my favorite upbeat/depressed band of all time to frame it all so nicely as usual.

Lovely song, with a slight Steely Dan flavour about it. [2] And that is probably impossible to beat.

The sound of the train in was recorded at Paddington station, while the crowd noises in the song were taken from Leicester Square
