Biography

There are multiple artists called “Supergroup”.

1) Despite the moniker, Supergroup was the duo of Charles Uzzell-Edwards (Octopus) and the DJ Thomas (the founder of A.R.E. Weapons and the obscure Map Of Africa). Their sound has elements of CUE’s penchants, musique concrete, sound collages, and environmental sounds, as well as DJ Thomas’ beats and basslines. The genre is almost unclassifiable, but is, at the baseline, experimental electronica, marinated in a mixture of every subgenre known to civilization.
