“Moving” is a song by Supergrass, from their eponymous third album, Supergrass (1999).
It was also released as a single, reaching #9 in the UK Singles Chart.
The song is about the tedium of touring as a band. To date it is the last supergrass song to reach the UK Top 10.

The song later appeared on the greatest hits compilation Supergrass Is 10: The Best Of 1994-2004.

The song has featured in the British film comedy East Is East at the beginning of the closing credits, and in the Holby City episode “Tough Love” in 2009. It was also sampled by MC Lars for his song “Ahab” about Moby-Dick.

    I read a piece about a journalist who attended a Supergrass gig in the nineties and he reckoned the smell of "piss" from all the teenage girls wetting themselves in the front row was overpowering. Just thought I would share that with you.

    These guys really had no idea who they wanted to be, which I think adds to their charm. This song (especially the first minute) reminds me a lot of early Radiohead (either Pablo Honey or The Bends but nothing later).
