The progression of their respective "sounds" is very similar. Look at how Supercar progressed from Three Out Change (rather straight-forward sound) to Highvision, which makes Three Out Change look very "stripped down" in comparison. Radiohead went through a similar process. In fact, both of their debut albums are surprisingly similar in terms of overall sound. Of course, Three Out Change kicks the shit out of Pablo Honey, but that's not really the point. The point is you're wrong and so is everyone else who is saying they are not similar in the least. Either way, in general, it's silly to compare the two bands. They obviously have different approaches to making music. You think Supercar would ever put out something like Kid A? No. Not because they're incapable, but because that's not what they were about.
