Formed in 1991 in Essex, England, Sunscreem was one of the first rave-pop groups with live performance abilities as well. Formed around Paul Carnell and Lucia Holm (both vocals and keyboards), with a handful of contributors including Darren Woodford and Wayne Simms (guitars), Rob Fricker (bass) and Sean Wright (drums), among others.
Lucia Holm was a session cellist, and when she met Carnell at a warehouse rave in Essex they agreed to form a band. Early independent singles and “Walk On” and “Pressure” were medium hits in Britain, and in 1993, “Love U More”, and “Perfect Motion” from their debut album, 03 (which got major distribution by Columbia/Sony), became their trademark song and biggest hit to date. They were heavily remixed and bootlegged at the time, with Perfect Motion (Boys Own remix) a stand-out track.
Despite their disappearance from the charts since mid-90´s, Sunscreem are still active, and released some more albums since then: Change or Die (1996), Ten Mile Bank (2001) and the collection Looking at You: Club Anthems, among others.

Such an amazing Band and I agree, they should have had way more listeners than what is currently shown on here. Sunscreem - O3 was truly an awesome Musical release!

O3 remains an all time fave. Just listened to it for the first time in a year (and found my missing copy of DJ Shadow's 'The Private Press' in its cover!) and am love with it all over again. Love U More remains a truly euphoric, flawless song.

Lots of "new" (re-released) SS tracks on iTunes at the moment. Includes for the first time many more obscure remixes. Another nice thing is that they are DRM free. Only catch I can see is that they won't play on most other MP3 players aside from Apple's - but you could re-rip them to MP3/ogg at a pinch.

My sister and I share very little in music taste, but one thing we agree on is that Sunscreem puts a smile on our faces. I love this music as much today as when I first heard it. As I write I am listening to the start of 'looking at you' from Change or Die, and shivers go up my spine.

Hi, In a nut-shell I'm hunting for a slower than the single, moody, down-tempo version of 'Broken English' It came free on a magazine mix tape in the early 90's. It started with singing then concluded with a throbbing, bleepy, instrumental section. I've been looking for over a decade for this. If you can help, mail me (Might have been 'Sandstorm' mix?)

It would be rude for me not to post a shout here wouldn't it? Be good to hear from Adam and anyone else from back in the days of the mailing list and Adam's website!
