"Jam" is an erroneous description for such a tightly-orchestrated work of restraint, but I suppose you posted only to show that you had listened to a Sun Ra album. Lanquidity is really fascinating because it takes the New York period (Bassism) and moves it into the modern-landscape of 70's funk; a detached spooky ambient version of it. Sun Ra was a master at taking whatever was trendy in jazz and reshaping it into something unique and idiosyncratic. A great use of guitar on this record, too!
