hah, perfect pronunciation of Ålesund, kinda like saying "awlesunn" for americans. The "d" is silent.. The name means "eel sound/strait" describing the area of the town's location.

You're right, but the lyric is "There's so much love I wanna cry", which is a line from the song 'Wop-A-Din-Din' by Red House Painters (Mark's tribute to his cat). Amazing song.

I think he sings about a girl, which was in the croud, when he has played a show in Alesund. So i believed, there would be a song where Kozelek sings : "I couldn't place a thought, without you being so near." but this isn't the case. So I still do not know what exactly this song is about. But it's so atmospheric and wonderful.

This is my new favorite Koz song, at least this week. The guitar playing is brilliant, I love the subtle strings. This entire album reveals itself very slowly but it's lovely.

this is indeed a very sad tune. but the guitar-playing is very good. and i like the sound of it, too. koz´s voice could be used as a radiator in a cold flat. 4 rooms the least.

So, so lonely sounding. I couldn't love this song any more if I tried.

Found this album on the bookend where all the "featured" albums are at my local library. Sun Kil Moon is incredible. I would love to see him live some day.
