I started with Minas Morgul, then discovered Stronghold and Old Mornings Dawn. Quickly fell in love with this great band, absolute eargasm!

"Old Mornings Dawn" is the best! It's great that guys continue to progress, and it's OK to wait for seven years if you're waiting for SUCH album!

If it makes them happy, let they listen and be fans. Christians listening to Summoning... apocalypse.

  • spineshank155

Originally the discussion was about Christians listening to Summoning, though there probably is't a point of that either lol.

"True religion which is the pagan religion." - almost sounds like it was worth anything. Any religion is based on ignorance. Beliefs are free, religion is where groups of believers stroke each other and try to spread their bullshit for own profit and power. Separate this. Then again, religion is religion, Tolkien is Tolkien, LOTR is LOTR, Summoning is Summoning. Just because the latter are being inspired by previous, doesn't mean there is a direct connection between religion and Summoning. What's the point of this discussion?

@great_magician Yes let's pretend that a devout Catholic wouldn't subconsciously put Christian themes into a world he created. Also Samoroth is right, but that really has nothing to do with this.

But then again, many christian customs are pagan customs, but disguised in christian lies.

    April 2014
  • great_magician

@Parabellum13x @TheDarthsala @gorski_ Tolkien was a Christian but LOTR is not a Christian allegory. "His belief in the fundamental truths of Christianity leads commentators to find Christian themes in The Lord of the Rings. Tolkien objected strongly to C. S. Lewis's use of religious references in his stories, which were often overtly allegorical" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._R._R._Tolkien#Views
