Suffocate For Fuck Sake is a Swedish band creating music combining post-rock, sludge, and emotional vocals resembling those of Louise Cyphre or Mihai Edrisch. The band describes their sound as “Sigur Rós, Breach, Cult of Luna, Mono, Mogwai, all playing at the same time”.

In their 2008 masterpiece, “Blazing Fires and Helicopters on the Front Page of the Newspaper. There’s a War Going On and I’m Marching in Heavy Boots”, the samples/story follows a girl, who with help from her mother, a friend, and a doctor, looks back on the time when she was put in a mental institute. It’s about losing control over yourself.

There’s also a pattern of using samples of spoken Swedish over their tracks. They’ve self-released a four song EP containing the tracks “Hospital”, “Le Gilet Fraternel”, “Lesra”, and “Promenade” showing the beginnings of their sound, with a sampled interview with a man named Hans about his life and medical back problems preventing him from sitting down.

    Blazing fires is truly such an affecting piece of work, especially when you read the translation along with it. Sometimes it's quite overwhelming for me and that's just great.

    I mean, I guess it's biblically high price, but who is exactly selling it? I'm not trying to get rich of someone, it's not like I'm forcing them to buy it, but bills have to be payed, and if selling the vinyl is what it takes, then yeah, I'm selling the vinyl, not GIVING it away. It is RARE, it is UNPLAYED, it doesn't get better than this. If someone wants to buy it and has the money, that's cool, we can work out a better price or something, but not much. I'm sorry, but yeah, that's how it is. :(

    Komandant; that's madness, kind of insulting, too. Music should not be that expensive. It should not be free, either, but 250$ is fuckin' retarded much dollars. People: Download the record from the Interwebs, instead, or find it on ebay, or whatever, or wait for a re-release, com'on; 250$ isn't a reasonable price.
