Formed in London in 1994, released the ‘A Tangled Web of Despair’ demo in 1996 recorded on a 4 track in the guitarist’s bedroom with just 2 members Grey (Vox) and Mike (Guitars). They had been through lots of line-up turmoil but finally got a full line to start doing shows. Grey (Vox), Mike & Trev (Guitars), Grant (Bass) and Jo (Drums) played a fair number of gigs in London.

Eventually Mike & Trev left to form Apostasy (later StigMartyr) and were replaced by Paul and Dave.

More gigs followed and the recording of an unreleased demo.

1998 saw the release of the ‘Bitter Sweet the Suffering’ demo. And they split up some time afterwards.

They are due to do a reunion gig in 2009 for the singer’s 40th birthday!!

The manager of the Norwegian Suffering sent them a letter threatening them with legal action over the use of the name, which they simply ignored, they are just called SUFFERING, the UK suffix is only added here to differentiate between the bands here on Last.FM.
