Biography

Stuart Moxham was guitarist and principal songwriter for Welsh post-punk outfit Young Marble Giants (1978-1980), whose 1980 album Colossal Youth is one of the most highly regarded indie cult post-punk recordings.

After the split Moxham formed the band The Gist.

The original Young Marble Giants line-up reformed in 2007 and has played various live shows since then.

During the 1990s Moxham released albums under the moniker Stuart Moxham and the Original Artists as well as solo albums under his own name, including 1995’s Fine Tuning (acoustic renderings of songs from various phases of Stuart’s career) and Personal Best (2010), which features Stuart’s choice of tracks from thirty years of post-Young Marble Giants recordings.
