About this album

Tiny Music… Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop is the third album released by Stone Temple Pilots on March 26, 1996, by Atlantic Records. The album is notable for the variety of stylistic departures it takes from the band’s earlier albums. Unlike STP’s first two albums, which displayed combinations of and , Tiny Music… has a sound very similar to bands of the 1960s, especially The Beatles.

This album is pretty boring compared to their other material...that said, it does have Trippin' on a Hole in a Paper Heart, and that's pretty awesome.

"adhesive" alone is worth the price of admission here, kids... weiland gets smacked out of his mind while the rest of the band dissolves in a pool of acid metal with hits of lounge jazz. think of it as purple's wild afterparty... they never got this weird again.

Whether it's their best is very hard to say because Purple is so damn good. But it's still my favorite album to play from start to finish.

My coke album for sure. Glad those days are over but the music has aged well. Still sounds great.

Brilliant album, gets better and better with more listens. It's a pop masterpiece if you appreciate such things; not the hard rock/"grunge" of their other albums (with the possible exception of Purple). PS. Can someone correct the track name "Big *G*ang Baby" please?

Best album of 96' let alone the best of the late 90's this is a STP classic and is just as good as Purple and Core.
