Love this version... I have the DOTBT album but this Symphonic version does something special for the deep lyrics Sting laid on this masterpiece.

Wow. I forgot that there used to be thought provoking pop.

this is NOT the version from "Dream of the Blue Turtles"...I wore out that LP and it never had the brass chorale...had a much tighter rhythm section.

"You've listened to Sting 1,486 times before, but not We Work The Black Seam." Always great to hear something "new" from a wonderful artist such as Sting!

The idea that behind the whole debate about technology and the planet, the heart of it all still remains the human cost... that and the fact that no matter WHAT we do, our technologies will exact a cost- be it human, environmental or technological... all of this and he manages to make it about his background and his home region... epic song writing!
